Just because the U.S. Congress and therefore the Government has ground to a standstill doesn't mean that there isn't anything going on in the District of Columbia. Granted it may be just deadly, random shit but stuff is happening!
Just the other day a woman named Miriam Carey drove to DC from Connecticut with her year old baby in the car not to sightsee but to commit suicide by cop. She was finally taken down in a hail of bullets. Fortunately, the baby, who cops didn't know was in the car, was unhurt.
Now we have an unidentified dude who poured gasoline on his head and set himself on fire Friday afternoon at the National Mall. A couple of guys tried to put out the flames with their shirts. He was so badly burned, and hence dead, that they will have to try to identify him by his dental records.
Hey, Congress! Get your asses back to work so this crazy shit can stop!
