What is that Sucking Sound?

We've been following the Long Island serial killer's activities for a year now and the police are no closer to catching the murderer than they were last December.

What they have found are what they believe are the remains of Shannen Gilbert (pictured above) after she'd been missing since May of 2010. The sex worker was last seen running screaming from the home of one Joseph Brewer.

Even though the bones were found just a few miles from where all the other prostitutes' remains were discovered, Suffolk County police say that Ms. Gilbert (if that is who it is) was not murdered by the serial killer. No, they believe she ran away from Mr. Brewer and into the marshes where she stumbled and drowned.

Seriously guys? Did the sheer weight of her lips cause her to topple forward into the sludge where she remained stuck like a catfish? Really?

Sorry, Keystone Cops. Don't believe it for a second.
