Post Rapture Thoughts

You are probably aware that there weren't any Judgment Day shenanigans yesterday and that we're all here and accounted for.

If you were one of those people who believed Harold Camping's prediction that May 21, 2011 would be the day of the Rapture, we sincerely hope that on May 23, 2011 you will seek professional psychiatric help.

You know, a lot of us have someone in our family like Harold Camping; an octogenarian who says a lot of crazy crap that makes no sense and sees dead people and other things that aren't there. It's called dementia. Most of us find them a nice nursing home where they'll be treated kindly and not let loose. We certainly don't give them millions of dollars and their own radio stations, because, well, that would be insane.

If you were one of those people who quit their jobs, ran up their credit cards, neglected their families in anticipation of the Big Day, good luck getting back on track.

A word of advice: Don't tell a potential employer on a job interview why you left your last job. It would be okay to lie this once.
