Maid in Manhattan

You probably have heard by now that Dominique Strauss-Kahn, big cheese of the IMF, is being held on Rikers Island for sexually assaulting a housekeeper at his swanky Manhattan hotel over the weekend.

He has been refused bail which apparently is causing some of his countrymen to get their panties in a twist.

Three nights in jail! Sacre bleu!

Since Dom was considered a presidential hopeful (not here, but in France) some are saying this is a set up.

How is it a set up? That he didn't really try to rape a maid? Then why did he leave behind his cell phone and valuables when he made a mad dash for the airport and had to be dragged off the plane?

This is not like having a mistress which the French equate to good health. This is a crime.

Big difference.
