Word comes today of Sammy Wajuiru, 24-year-old marathon runner from Kenya, having died.
He won the marathon in Beijing in 2008 in his warm up shoes because he forgot his real running shoes.
Well, recently things had been going downhill for Sammy.
Last December Sammy was arrested for threatening to kill his wife and for illegal possession of an AK-47. She later said they had reconciled and that charge was withdrawn.
Story is that Mrs. Sammy came home to find her hubby cavorting with another woman which prompted him to leap off the balcony of their apartment, resulting in his death.
Okay, so why did he have an AK-47? And why did he threaten to kill his wife? Was he going to use the assault weapon to kill her or was it superfluous?
Surely, if his wife forgave him for threatening her life she would have forgiven him for cheating on her!
One would think.
