Last night police found a parked car near Union Square in Manhattan with two plastic gas containers inside and so, in the interest of safety, blew out the car's windows. I'm sure they thought the vehicle, a 1991 Olds Cutlass had no purpose except to house a bomb.
The 59-year-old car owner is a landscaper who carries fuel for his business and he was attending a Buzzcocks concert in the neighborhood (awesome). Needless to say he was a bit surprised to find what had happened when he returned to his vehicle.
Now all you people who don't live in New York are getting the wrong idea from these reports of car bombs in Manhattan. It really isn't that easy to find a place to park, let alone find a place to park your rolling bomb piece.
If you plan on parking your bomb, allow yourself several hours to actually find a place to park.
