Is the current movement to make bestiality illegal in Alaska and Florida somehow tied to current economic conditions? Is sex with animals becoming that much more prevalent? Are guys too cheap to take a girl out for a drink these days and just looking for a bitch?
There was a nasty incident in Klawock, Alaska wherein a man was caught having sex with a dog. Because they didn't have a bestiality statute on which to prosecute him, he was charged with two counts of criminal mischief. That was dropped to a theft charge apparently because he stole the dog.
Representative Bob Lynn (pictured above) was moved by this story to introduce legislation to make bestiality illegal.
In Florida, bestiality cases abound and there isn't a current law on the books to make it illegal.
However, according to the AP:
In Florida, a bill that would make sex with animals punishable by up to five years in prison has been unanimously approved by two Senate committees and has two other committee stops before reaching the full chamber.
Apparently there have been several cases of goats getting shtupped and one even resulted in a goat's death.
A blind man in Florida was accused of having sex with his guide dog. His guide dog! Is nothing sacred?
There appears to be a link between having sex with animals and predatory sexual behavior with humans. Once a pervert, always a pervert.
Even if these laws pass in Alaska and Florida there will still be 13 other states wherein bestiality will not be specifically illegal. Sorry, you'll have to find out what they are on your own.
