Will Justice be Done?

Michael Mineo in his hospital bed

Back in October, cops allegedly saw tattoo artist Michael Mineo smoking dope in the Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NY subway station.
I understand these are transit cops. When I was growing up in NYC the 'regular' NYPD had little regard for transit cops. This may have changed in the ensuing years.
Michael Mineo ended up in the hospital, bleeding from his rectum.
A grand jury has indicted the two officers who allegedly sodomized the 24-year-old with the antenna of a walkie talkie.
One of the 'gang of five' officers who were there at the time came forward and testified as to what he saw.
According to WCBS-TV:
The transit officer told the grand jury that he saw 25-year-old patrolman Richard Kern wielding a baton and placing it near Mineo's behind. Mineo said he was thankful the cop supported his brutality allegations. "I'm happy – I'm real happy that he came out and said what he said, because he must have felt bad," Mineo said. "I can't speak for him, but he probably has a heart."
This, after the NYPD investigated the matter and found Mineo's claims to be unsubstantiated.
I don't know how an officer who is supposed to be upholding the law makes that leap to lawlessness. Hadn't he ever heard of, say, civil rights?
Just because someone might be smoking dope in a subway station doesn't mean you should stick your walkie-talkie antenna up his ass.

There's two parts to sticking a baton up someone's ass. First you got to pull the guys pants down. Just that freaks me out, never mind part two.

This subway cop should be shot.
