Tough Season for Atheists

You'll be happy to know that the sign pictured above has been recovered.
It was found in a ditch in Olympia, Washington, having been removed by someone who didn't appreciate it being posted next to a nativity scene in front of the Legislative Building in the state capital. And be advised this is a very heavy sign, not something you can tuck under your arm and walk away with.

First of all, what the hell is a nativity scene doing on the grounds of the Legislative Building? If you're going to have Jesus, where is your menorah? Haven't these people ever heard of separation of church and state?

Be that as it may, approximately 30% of the population of Washington is either unaffiliated with any religion or atheist, an interesting statistic I think.

Amazingly, the Christian Coalition is opposing this advertisement.
According to Fred Edwords, the AHA's spokesman:
"That's D.C. -- this is a political center," he said. "If I can see a placard with dead fetuses on it, I think someone can look at our question and just think about it."
At least your dude has a Santa suit on, Fred. A lot more Christmasy than a bunch of fetuses.

Funny stuff. I hope it's okay to substitute my usual LOL with a Ho Ho Ho.
