Don't Trick or Treat in Sumter, SC, but if you must...

Don't trick or treat at this dude's house

T. J. Darrisaw attended a Halloween party with his family and then on the way home they stopped at Quentin Patrick's house to trick or treat, because his porch light was on.

Big, big mistake.

Patrick, a convicted felon, let loose with his assault rifle from inside the house, firing nearly 30 rounds. Twelve year old T.J. was killed. His father and a sibling were injured.

Patrick told police he thought he was being robbed since he'd been robbed and shot in the past.

Oh yeah, every time someone knocks at my door I assume I'm going to be robbed and shot. Hey, guy! Just don't answer the door! No need to fire your AK-47 through it!

I think he was upset he couldn't find his costume. He was going to be a human being.
