You may recall back in May I thought Darrell Rasner was the Messiah. Okay, I was wrong. He started off pitching like a champ, but has slumped since start #5.
Back even further than that, in March, I was wailing about mouth breathers Kei Igawa and Jeff Karstens. Well, I am happy to report they are both gone. Off the roster. Karstens sent to Pittsburgh, and Igawa put out on waivers.
The trade that lost us Karstens got us Xavier Nady and Damaso Marte (who once upon a time was in the Yankee organization).
It's been quite a season so far. Wang and Posada on the DL, probably both out for the season. Joba Chamberlain is now a starter.
Yanks won 10 straight at home and now have been beaten, twice, by Baltimore. Joba must have good stuff today and the offense must hit to avoid a sweep.
Will the X-Rays hang on to the Number 1 position in the AL East or will Boston or New York take the slot?
Stay tuned. I guarantee you won't think of Joe Torre even once.

Why can't they just win every game. Then I'd be happy.
