Does this look like fun?There have been more than a few reports of drownings in the New York/New Jersey area in the last few days along the Long Island shore and other local beaches.
I know I have stressed before that the ocean is filled with creatures that want to eat you.
What I have probably failed to mention is that the ocean itself wants to kill you as well.
The dreaded Under Toe has been sucking swimmers to their deaths having gotten all excited and churned up by Hurricanes Bertha and Cristobel (erroneously referred to as crystal ball on another site).
There are still a couple of months left of beach weather in the area, guys.
Oh, and before I forget, people drown in other places besides NY and NJ. So don't think you're safe anywhere.
Consider yourself warned. Again.
