Apparently Americans are spending more time indoors and not enjoying the great outdoors according to a survey conducted by the Nature Conservancy.
Here we go again.
Listen tree huggers, nature is unpredictable. It's brought you such crowd pleasers as volcanic eruptions, avalanches, sinkholes, ticks and bird flu.
It's almost impossible to turn on the news without hearing the latest about some hiker becoming lost for a week living on fungus and dirt till someone comes in their unnatural Jeep and rescues them.
Hey, I enjoy watching a sunset as much as the next person provided some nice looking young man in a Speedo is bringing me a drink with a parasol in it.
Nature is at its best when it is tamed.
Ask the folks who crossed the Donner Pass for the first time how terrific nature was to them.
