You may have heard about the Duggar family. They live in Arkansas and they have 17 children.
This alone might be enough for you to wonder about what's going on in their heads. No need to wonder what's going on below the belts.
My cause for concern is that every one of these kids has a name that starts with the letter "J."
Joshua, Jana & John-David (twins), Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, Jedidiah & Jeremiah (twins), Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johannah & Jennifer.
Now come on, guys. Jinger? Everyone knows you spell it "Ginger." And that, assuming you want your kid to feel like she lives on a spice rack.
The dad's name is Jim-Bob (I'm sure you're surprised). And the mom is Michelle. Does Mom feel left out because she's not a "J?" Or has that need been satisfied by giving birth to 17 "Js?"
Aren't "Joy-Anna" and "Johannah" just a little too similar? Come on, Duggars. Someone was sleeping on that one.
"Jessa" and "Jana?" Are those made up names?
I know there are lots of people who like to give their kids names that begin with the same first letter. Personally, I don't get it.
I think it might be better when naming the kids to spell something out with the first letters of their names.
For instance, if you were going to have four kids name them ...
Frank
Ursula
Charles
Katherine
