Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

If you've ever watched NBC-TV's "Today" Show you know that people (mostly tourists to NYC) hang outside the studio. They press their bodies up against the sawhorses. They wave when they think the camera is on them and they hold up signs that say things like, "Kiss me, Al, I'm 40."

Now added to this amazingly frightening spectacle is another dimension. The folks have taken to SCREAMING at the tops of their lungs, yelling as if they're being raped and/or murdered.

It therefore becomes nearly impossible to hear what the hosts and/or guests are actually saying. All that is clear is that these people need to be sprayed with firehoses at full volume.

I can see if you want to go home to Paducah and ask your friends if they saw you on "Today," but this shrieking is totally out of control. It should, and must, stop.
