McAfeed

In all fairness, I will admit that it wasn't Earthlink that was messing with my e-mail. It was McAfee.

McAfee was supposed to be like the mom who reminds you to put on your sweater when you leave the house, not like the psychotic parent who won't let you out the door.

McAfee decided that all my e-mails looked like Spam and hid them from me. I had to track them down and decide for myself. Eventually I ended up turning off the Spam Blocker.

Since I had trouble with spyware and viruses infecting my last computer, I decided to play it safe this time and got the McAfee suite of protection. I also get protection from Earthlink. Kind of like wearing a belt and suspenders.

I don't want some computer software making decisions on what's worth my time to read and what isn't. This is still the United States of America.

Aren't all e-mails spam when you really think about it?

or as John Lennon once almost said

"nothing is real, nothing to get hung about, it's all very spam forever"
