February always makes me think that winter is almost over. I think that's 'cause it's a short month. Of course it's only 2 or 3 days shorter than the other months but I like to think of it as weeks shorter.
There's a lot to be said for being delusional.

february is cruel like that. plays games with your head in oh so many ways. to this day i have a visceral reaction everytime i have to say it aloud. the nuns would not let us get away with saying it FEBUARY. no it had to be febRUary. tied up the tongue no matter how good your reading momentum was going.
i suppose i could be clever and say i rue the day when i first was shown the "ru" in february but i think it would dilute my message that the nuns made even this inconsequential fact a big deal. certainly a significant aspect of their neverending campaign of mind control.
