To: Anonymous

Someone named Anonymous has taken offense to our post of 12/23/2011 regarding the traffic accident on the Bruckner Expressway at 3 a.m. on 12/22/2011 wherein a young woman named Margaret Donnelly was killed when she drove the wrong way and collided with a Mercedes Benz and a tractor trailer truck. Four people were injured in the Mercedes.

Anonymous is very angry and is going to continue to report us to Blogger until either the post or the entire blog is deleted.

In the post we opined that whereas it was not a given that someone driving the wrong way on a highway in the middle of the night after socializing with friends was drunk, we thought it was almost a given.

We have been unable to secure the autopsy results for the deceased. Perhaps she was under the influence, or had a seizure, a heart attack, a stroke or an embolism or was in perfect health with no obvious reason for the accident.

It is an absolute tragedy and our sympathy goes out to her family and friends.

What we have been witnessing of late seems to be an increase in the number of people who drive in the wrong direction on our streets and highways. Diane Schuler was perhaps the most famous when she drove the wrong way on the Taconic Parkway and ended up killing herself and eight others. Autopsy results showed she was intoxicated and stoned.

For some reason the young lady killed in December was going the wrong way. Maybe she was tired and missed some signs that would have aided her in her travels. Perhaps New York State and/or City will be sued for not having enough signs or signs that are not clear to the average motorist.

Anonymous, this entire incident is a tragedy from the start; however, we reserve the right to have our opinions and to share them in this medium.

There's Something Wrong With Uncle Danny

You may recall the 2009 crash on the Taconic Parkway when Diane Schuler, drunk and stoned, drove a minivan for miles in the wrong direction before crashing head on into another vehicle, killing herself, her daughter, nieces, and passengers in the other car.

Now her widower has added insult to fatal injury by actually having the balls to sue his brother-in-law for being the owner of the minivan his trashed wife was driving.

Seriously.

The asshole's lawsuit says that Warren Hance is vicariously liable for the accident because one of his doomed daughters called him and said, "There's something wrong with Aunt Diane." Yet Danny Schuler has maintained his wife was having a stroke, blood test results notwithstanding.

Schuler, obviously without a conscience or a brain, is also suing New York State for not maintaining the roads properly. No, of course they weren't maintained properly for people driving in the wrong direction, you idiot.

Speed Kills and Lots of Speed Kills Lots of People

It seems like only yesterday we were blogging about Diane Schuler, the Long Island New York mom who was high as a kite and got on the Taconic Parkway going the wrong way, and ... well, you know the unhappy ending to that. Actually, it was eleven months ago!

In keeping with a policy of 'no final report before its time,' the NY state police have today issued their final report.

Mrs. Schuler was driving 85 mph when the crash occurred. The SUV she hit was going 74 mph.

That's why one of the vehicles looked like this:

Reefer Madness

Remember Diane Schuler? That's her pictured above with her husband.

Funny we mentioned her today in a post when opining how Long Island may just be the most awful place in the western world.

In any event, she was drunk and stoned and drove the wrong way on the Taconic Parkway last summer, killing herself, her daughter, her nieces and some total strangers.

Well, the total strangers' families are suing her estate and some evidence seems to have been discovered that reveals Diane was in fact a big fat pothead.

Personally, I think everyone might have survived if she'd just been stoned. I believe it was the quart of vodka she drank with the doobie that turned her into a directionally challenged driver.

Her best friend and sister-in-law told police: "Diane smoked marijuana on a regular basis. She usually would smoke at night after the kids would go to bed."

I hate reporters. Are her best friend and sister-in-law one and the same person or two different people? I have no idea.

Police say the information they uncovered tends to support a new theory: that Diane was not a regular drinker and not an alcoholic, because she had trouble handling the 10 shots of vodka she downed during her deadly drive.

Say what? Don't most semi-normal people have trouble handling 10 shots of vodka in like five minutes?

The probe also showed that Diane was so disoriented, when her brother phoned her just before the crash, she kept calling him "Danny" instead of "Warren."

This is Your Brain on THC and Absolut

Daniel Schuler wants everyone to know that his wife Diane was not a crazy, pot-smoking, vodka-swilling, car-crashing murderer and he doesn't know where anyone may have gotten that idea.

He says he doesn't dispute the validity of the tests that showed she was stoned and drunk while driving the wrong way on the Taconic Parkway, but that something happened in her brain, probably because she once had an untreated tooth abscess and gestational diabetes when she was pregnant.

Listen, Dan, I've had bitches of toothaches in my day but nothing went wrong in my brain abscess or not. What went wrong in her brain was the result of drinking half a bottle of Absolut and sucking a joint or two.

I'm pretty sure Dan is saying this because the families of the three men his wife killed are going to sue Diane Schuler's estate and Dan will probably be living in the burned out shells of those vehicles on the Parkway eventually.

Absolut Insanity

If Diane Schuler wasn't already dead I'd kill her.

She drank herself witless and then got behind the wheel of a minivan with her three nieces, her son and daughter inside. Then she drove the wrong way on the Taconic State Parkway crashing head-on into an SUV, killing all three passengers.

And this was at 1:30 last Sunday afternoon.

The autopsy conducted by the Westchester County medical examiner’s office found about 6 grams of alcohol in Ms. Schuler’s stomach — alcohol that her body had not yet processed. The autopsy also found a “high level” — 113 nanograms per milliliter — of tetrahydrocannabinol, the main psychoactive substance in marijuana.

Ms. Schuler’s level of blood alcohol was equivalent to about 10 drinks — a drink being the equivalent of 12 ounces of beer, 4 ounces of wine, or an ounce and a half of 80-proof liquor.

How is it that nobody knew she was an alcoholic? Believe me, you can't ingest that much booze and still stand up let alone find the ignition if you're not used to abusing the sauce on a regular basis.

Allegedly she called her brother, the father of the three girls who were killed, and said she wasn't feeling well just before the accident. Well, shit, if I had half a bottle of Absolut in my stomach I'd feel pretty shitty too.
