G-String

And you thought Scrabble was just a nice little game with letters on tiles, making words and scoring points. Not when it comes to the World Championship, friends!

The 2011 World Scrabble Championship was held in Warsaw and these two dudes got into a bit of a squabble. Seems the Thai guy accused the British guy of palming a "G" tile and demanded that he be strip searched. Authorities refused, but coincidentally the alleged cheater won by one point.

Neither one of them became champion, however. That honor and $20,000 went to a New Zealander, Nigel Richards, who racked up 96 points with the word 'omnified' and won with a final score of 476 points.
