A Tragedy in Arizona

We had another American tragedy yesterday.

A twenty-two-year old man shot Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords in the head while she was at a meet and greet in Arizona with her constituents. She was his first target but after shooting her he began spraying the crowd with bullets. Six people died including a nine-year-old girl. Giffords very possibly will survive this attack.

Last year Sarah Palin's website placed the cross-hairs of a gunsight on Giffords' district. Other districts were similarly depicted.

Palin is famous for saying idiotic things like, "Don't retreat. Reload!" She also glorifies the ferocity of "Mama Grizzlies."

Grizzly bears are large creatures that can become violent if provoked or, as some campers may attest, even if not. They are incapable of reasoning, not unlike Ms. Palin.

It is time to put the former governor back into the Alaskan tundra where she belongs. Let's stop glorifying this media whore by giving her the attention and money she so desperately craves.

I believe she is just as responsible for the incident in Arizona as if she had pulled the trigger herself.

Her vitriol should be abhorrent to anyone who is even slightly more civilized than Attila the Hun.
