Pope Benedict XVI has stated that the use of condoms may be all right for use by, let's say, male prostitutes, as a way of beginning to accept moral responsibility.
Male hookers!
The pope has said that condoms are not the way to stop the spread of AIDS in Africa among heterosexual couples, evidently because that would be artificial contraception. But it would be okay for prostitutes for whom pregnancy is not the #1 worry?
There must be more here than meets the eye.
Perhaps disease carrying male prostitutes are the Vatican's primary concern for reasons that seem pretty evident.
