A Stampede is Like a Tsunami Without the Water

You know what they say -- it's just not a festival unless a few hundred people are trampled to death.

Such was the case in Cambodia during the Water Festival today.

There was a three day festival to celebrate the end of the rainy season. Four million people showed up to party. When ten of them fainted, everybody panicked and started a stampede during which over three hundred people were killed.

I guess the rainy season sucks so bad that everyone can't wait to get out of the house. And why would everyone panic just because a few people fainted?

People, next year rethink the festival aspect. Maybe sit outside for a while and enjoy the fact that it's not raining.
