No, this guy wasn't an extra in Witness. He was just a regular good for nothin' guy in Mississippi when he abandoned his family in 1987 so they had him declared dead in 1994.Apparently there was no burden of proof since Thomas Steven Sanders continued his life (or death) of crime. He even spent two years in a Georgia prison.
Now he's been arrested (in Mississippi) for the murder of a 12-year-old girl in Las Vegas whose body he dumped in Louisiana. Her mother is still missing.
Can you put a dead man on trial in Mississippi? Will someone claim he rose from the dead?
