This is Senator Jim DeMint of South Carolina. First off, the fact that he was elected by his constituents is alarming. Secondly, the crap that he spews is not to be believed.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion no matter how much I might disagree with it or how morally reprehensible it might be. However, you cannot legislate so-called morality.
Senator DeMint believes homosexuality is immoral and that gays and lesbians should not teach children nor should unwed mothers.
This is the kind of thinking that effects young people who are struggling with their personas. Tyler Caminiti who leaped to his death from the George Washington Bridge last week was just one victim in this sexual witch hunt.
Speaking of witches, DeMint has endorsed Christine O'Donnell, the anti-masturbation witch running for Congress from Delaware, despite the fact that she's a liar and has absolutely no credentials that would make her a suitable elected official.
Senator DeMint, your priorities are way out of whack.
