Your tax dollars at work. Lots of NYPD standing around doing nothing.
Okay, there's nothing even remotely amusing about mental illness. That being said we'd like to tell you about the latest murder on Staten Island.
Marion and Arthur Bellucci lived with their thirty-year-old schizophrenic son who is reportedly 'brilliant.'
Tips that something might have been amiss: Their younger daughter had recently moved out because her brother was becoming increasingly frightening by behaving erratically and, oh, threatening to kill her.
Although the family kept calling the cops to intervene, they allowed their son to continue living with them despite the fact that he wouldn't take his medication.
It now appears that Eric Bellucci murdered them and has fled to Israel via a flight from Newark Liberty Airport.
Puzzling why a brilliant schizophrenic would flee to Tel Aviv when he's not even Jewish. Has he heard that the Israelis are particularly understanding when it comes to matricide and patricide?
Advice to parents of mentally ill children (and it's free). If they live with you, they have to take their meds. Otherwise, you need to get them into an institution where they can be made to take it. If you don't chances are good your blood will be splattered all over your living room floor.
