Well, believe it or not he was never tried for the murder of Julissa Brisman, but he was in jail. He had finally been arrested last spring.

Phil was found yesterday morning dead in his cell. He put a bag over his head and stabbed himself with a pen.

Evidently all that medical training paid off as Markoff found nice juicy arteries to stick in his neck and legs. There was a hell of a lot of blood all over his cell according to witnesses.
