It's been quite a while since we had a big truck sporting accident to report. You know, where trucks with big wheels run over spectators or just throw their tires into the crowd.
Well, your wait is over.
During the California 200 in the Mojave Desert Saturday night, a modified 2000 Ford Ranger spun out of control and landed in a crowd of spectators, killing eight and injuring at least a dozen. Said vehicle was being operated by one Brett Sloppy who had to be led away by police because some of the survivors were trying to kill him.
When Bill Clinton was President, he signed a law that banned most of these desert truck races because they're bad for the environment and spectators. The California 200, or The Rock Pile, goes on or at least it did till Saturday night.
Oh young people in your twenties who attend these events, please find something better to do with your time.
