It's hard to believe that any parent taking their child to McDonald's actually cares about their health, but even so, they'll be happy to learn that those Shrek beverage glasses are being pulled due to the fact that they are loaded with China's favorite mineral, cadmium.
You remember cadmium? It's that toxic chemical also used in children's cheap jewelry that will probably kill them or at least turn their bones to oatmeal and render their kidneys non-functional.
So McDonald's, because they really care about your family's health and the almighty buck, are recalling 12 million of these cadmium decorated glasses.
