Aloha Means Good-Bye

This may be one of the happiest days of my life. Today I heard (and I'm hoping it's not just a rumor) that Jon & Kate + 8 will be off the air as of November!

In case you haven't been keeping up with this reality television show tragedy, the Gosselins spawned two sets of multiple children. First twins, then sextuplets. They signed on for a television show which allegedly showed their real lives. Well, it was nothing of the sort. Each episode was a scripted event which usually resulted in the family receiving a lot of free stuff, like vacations, tummy tucks, hair transplants, the latter two being for Mom and Dad.
My main concern, and that of many others, was that the children weren't having anything close to a normal life. There aren't any filming restrictions on minors in reality television, making it easier for the 8 kids to be exploited.

The parents at this juncture just seem bent on screwing each other over, which is fine as long as they get the hell off television.

It's probably too late for the kids to be salvaged. By all accounts they would have done better to have been raised by wolves, but maybe all is not lost. We can only hope.
