Oh, Crap!

NTS: When the experimental hot air balloon is tied up in the backyard, keep an eye on the kids.

As I write this, a six-year-old boy is floating over Colorado in a hot air balloon that his parents built/were building. He got in, untied it and off he went into the wild blue yonder.

The boy is Falcon Heene, son of Mayumi and Richard, who is a scientist and storm chaser. The family has twice appeared on the bizarre reality show, Wife Swap. I vaguely remember this family, and if my memory is correct Mayumi and Richard should have been locked up back then. Falcon is the youngest boy, in the center, who appears to be asleep.

There's a rumor afloat that the child has since fallen out which, of course, we all hope is false.

LATE BREAKING NEWS: The kid was hiding at home. Personally, I think this was a publicity stunt orchestrated by Mayumi and Dick.
