I think I have now officially heard everything.
Remember the swine flu? The ailment that's going to wipe out the planet? Well, when it was just kicking into gear last spring it actually did kill someone in New York named Mitchell Weiner. Mr. Weiner was an assistant principal of a school in Queens.
Now Mr. Weiner's family, in an attempt to come to grips with their grief, is suing the City of New York for $40 million. As Jack Paar used to say, "I kid you not."
The family intends to seek damages for the loss of companionship, guidance and moral support for Weiner's children Adam, Jordan and Farrell, according to the NY Daily News.
Bonnie Weiner and her three children contend the city failed to provide a safe workplace and respond to the growing threat of the H1N1 virus as it spread through the school system.
In a notice of claim, the family says the city didn't give out accurate information about the flu and took too long to tell Weiner he had come into contact with people who tested positive.

Mmmmmmmmkay.
Talk about wieners and whiners! Listen up, people, life is a crapshoot. Folks get sick and die. That's how it rolls. Who are you going to sue next ~ actual pigs?
