You might want to cancel that Venezuelan golf vacation you've been planning.

Seems that el Presidente Hugo Chavez has declared golf to be a bourgeois sport. Sounds like the words of a duffer to me. In any event, his cronies have taken that to mean, "Close down the golf courses!" so that's what they're doing.

If the planned closings go forth, about nine courses will have been closed in Venezuela in the last three years.

The plan is to put thousands of homes for the poor on golf courses.
