Hey! Is that Paul McCartney on Crack?

We think that without question Arizona has slithered to the top of the list of CRAZY PLACES, USA.

There's the Governor Jan Brewer who would be more at home on a Southern plantation with darkies waiting on her.  There's crazy Sheriff Joe Arpaio who is still running for reelection despite all the Federal indictments against his office.  And now from the back of the pack comes the Secretary of State Ken Bennett, who still is not convinced that President Obama was born in the United States.  Well, if he can't be convinced that the President was born in Hawaii he will have to exclude him from the ballot in November.

Bennett insists he is not a birther; i.e. someone who does not believe President Obama was born in the United States even though he does not believe the President was born in the United States.  He believes, as does Sheriff Joe, that a previously submitted birth certificate was a forgery.  Even the Governor thinks that's bull.

Nevertheless, even though Secretary Bennett sent Hawaii his request eight weeks ago he still hasn't gotten the goods.  You can imagine how tired the Hawaiians are having to produce these certificates.

Very Wild West

This is Arizona Sheriff, Paul Babeu, who up until recently was one of Mitt Romney's campaign co-chairmen in the aforementioned state. He's also a candidate for Congress, or, er was, and he's a staunch defender of our nation against illegal immigrants.

Seems that Sheriff Babeu has been having an affair with a Mexican immigrant man named Jose since at least 2006 when they met on gay.com. We assume that's Jose with the blurred face and the Sheriff's hand fondling his breast.

Recently the couple broke up and Babeu got bitchy. The Sheriff threatened Jose with deportation if word of their affair went public.

The only thing that Babeu will own up to is that he is gay, not any of that other stuff.

America's Lawman

This is Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, Arizona. He's just found himself in a heap of trouble with the United States government.

He's been investigated by the Justice Department for the last three years because of the way Latinos are treated in his jurisdiction. Well, damn, they don't look like Americans.

Sheriff Joe, who calls himself 'America's Sheriff,' will find some way to lock you up if you resemble a Mexican. How can that be unconstitutional?

And how come a Latino driver was able to collect $600,000 in damages after a deputy hit him with his patrol car? What is this country coming to?

Will Sheriff Joe have to eat humble pie? Hopefully in a lock up with Latino inmates.

Fear of Aliens

I learned something today. The Governor of Arizona is a woman. I thought 'Jan' might have been pronounced 'Yon' and therefore Governor Brewer would have been a man.

The Governor is a bigot but I knew that. Bigotry isn't gender specific. Brewer signed a bill last week that basically legalizes racial profiling.

It's worth noting that Arizona spent years fighting the Martin Luther King holiday but ultimately lost.

The only one who seems to be more fearful of illegal aliens is Stephen Hawking. He thinks they're out there and they're coming to get us. Just like in "V."
