Home on the Range
There are trends in everything -- from fashion to music to art to home decor.
We've been following some of the latest in home decorating and some of the things we are seeing repeatedly disturb us.
Take the faux bear fur pictured above. Please. And throw it right into the nearest bonfire.
We've seen pictures of apartments, homes, cabins, etc. with these fur pieces all over the damn place. They've been draped over chairs, placed on the floor, hung on the wall. Even though many of them may actually be faux why would anyone want to create the illusion of skinned beasts on their furniture?
Which brings us to the second picture above -- that with a hide on a kitchen floor.
Seriously? Now this may be faux too but we suspect not. Some skinned deer or horse is now lying in the middle of a kitchen floor. Again, we must ask "Why?".
It can't be sanitary and it's an obvious tripping hazard.
Are home decorators trying to bring rustic back into the equation? Is your million dollar home going to look much 'homier' with the inclusion of the remnants of some poor dead animal?
We think not.
