Marie Smothers (we don't know if she was related to Tom and Dick Smothers) was pushing 90 and for some reason we don't quite comprehend she was minding an eight year old. More precisely, she was his guardian.
Part of her parenting technique was to permit the kid to play Grand Theft Auto IV which as we all know is a violent video game and responsible for the current unrest in Syria. Well, maybe it wasn't a technique exactly. More like, "Get your sorry ass out of my living room and go play with them video games."
The kid, who will remain unidentified because of his age and until someone figures out who he is and tells TMZ, went and got Miss Marie's gun and shot her in the head.
You should not be surprised this happened in a double wide, in the state of Louisiana in a town called Slaughter.
