Probably He Just Couldn't Stand the Irony
You may be aware that we consider NASCAR a tremendous waste of fuel and time. All those cars driving around in a circle, sometimes crashing into the stands or each other.
Another thing we find to be a waste of energy is the NRA, as in the National Rifle Association. The NRA has only one thing on its agenda: sell more guns. If they can achieve this goal they will make more money for the manufacturers of weapons.
As fate would have it, as fate often does, these two worthless entities met each other this weekend when a man named Kirk Franklin who was attending the NRA sponsored NASCAR race at the Texas Speedway, blew his brains out in the back of his truck at the event.
Nobody is really sure why he did it but he may have gotten into an altercation with other campers just before he decided to commit suicide and the police are reasonably sure that liquor was a factor.
If liquor hadn't been involved, we would have been shocked. However, we are surprised that there are campers at these events. Really?
