Girl Bits

This is a photograph of Lena Dunham who wrote and stars in a new HBO program entitled Girls.

Once upon a time we thought we'd give it a look see and we lasted about five minutes.  Ms. Dunham's characters and her friends were chatting about vaginas.  For five minutes and possibly long after we turned it off, the talk was all about their private parts -- what went in them, came out of them, nestled with them, etc.

Perhaps we are way behind the times but you've got to do better than that if you want us to watch your show.  We don't find conversation about lady bits particularly interesting.

Apparently Ms. Dunham is being hailed as a wunderkind because she can write this fabulous dialogue and is unattractive.  You can take her writing seriously because she's homely.  And according to a magazine article the fact that she had no friends as a child or teenager and couldn't connect with people.

Well, guess what?  She still can't.  No wonder she had no friends if all she could do was talk about vaginas.
