Those Cardinals Need a Rap Across the Knuckles
This is Sister Margaret Farley, former professor of Christian ethics at Yale Divinity School, and she should seriously be guiding the Roman Catholic Church instead of the men in dresses we currently have.
The Vatican has just gotten around to condemning her 2006 tome “Just Love: A Framework for Christian Sexual Ethics,” complaining it was not consistent with Catholic theology and should not be used by Roman Catholics.
Sister Farley's book addresses such matters of modernity such as remarriage after divorce, masturbation and same sex relationships.
The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith a/k/a The Inquisition just weeks ago reprimanded American nuns a/k/a Leadership Conference of Women Religious for speaking out with their radical ideas; i.e. women in the priesthood.
Not only did the dudes in the Vatican waste two years reading Just Love so they could slap down Sister Farley but last year they condemned “Quest for the Living God: Mapping Frontiers in the Theology of God,” by Sister Elizabeth A. Johnson, a professor of theology at Fordham University in New York.
It seems that the Vatican hierarchy needs to spend less time bitch slapping their religious women and more time investigating allegations of priestly paedophilia; taking action to remove disturbed men from the priesthood and putting them in prison.
Meanwhile, we are 100% behind Sisters Farley and Johnson.
