This charming dude, caught mid-pirate impersonation, is Robert Ben Rhoades. He's an enterprising truck driver having fashioned a torture chamber in his rig.

Robert is already serving a life sentence for the murder of a 14-year-old girl, but he just got hisself two more life sentences for the murder of a couple he picked up in Texas.

Seems he was more than happy to pick up a hitchhiker -- usually a female -- as long as he could hang them by handcuffs, torture and murder them as well.

Someone has already written a book about this dude. He was killing three women a month by the early 1990s. That's just the average.
