Mayor Bloomberg may think having more pedestrian malls in New York is a fabulous idea, but I disagree. If they're so wonderful, why isn't he stretched out on a deck chair?
New York City Transit has released its figures from October after pressure from the NY Times. Seems that the addition of these malls has only added to the time it takes you to travel by bus when there's one nearby. About 25% longer.
Also, what's the body count going to be once some 90-year-old driver hits the gas pedal instead of the brake?
