I try very hard not to make fun of other people's religions. Okay, maybe I don't try hard enough but I find it difficult to defend the indefensible.
Take the Mormons, for instance. Please.
In case you weren't aware, members of the Church of Latter Day Saints believe that no one gets into heaven without being baptized. Okay, but what about people who die without having been baptized? No worries there! The Mormons can have a proxy stand in for you to be baptized even after you're dead! So it's a win-win situation. Isn't it? Unless of course you died an atheist and didn't want to be baptized posthumously or not.
Like Barack Obama's mother, for instance. Stanley Ann Obama died in 1995, an atheist, but the Mormons baptized her anyway just last year.
They're really not supposed to do shit like this. I mean, it's one thing to baptize your own dead relative after death, but not a total stranger, especially when the stranger was the mother of the future President of the United States. We're not talking the Romneys here.
