Another One Bites the Dust

Word comes of a man in Arizona who shot himself in the head when the local SWAT force entered his home to evict him.

According to HuffPo: When deputies arrived around mid morning to evict the homeowner, the man left a pleading voice message with the police department, telling them he had no where else to live and asking them what he should do.

I guess it's the SWAT members' fault that they didn't tell the guy, "First off, don't shoot yourself in the head. Especially in front of us."

People who know you're going to be thrown out of your homes for not paying your mortgage: Please don't kill yourselves.

Last year, a woman faxed a note to her lender before committing suicide on the day her home was to be auctioned saying, "By the time you read this, I'll be dead." Her note said that she had simply run out of options.

If I might be so bold, Madam, I would think that if you had gotten help somehow, somewhere either psychological and/or financial you would now be living, maybe even somewhere nice. Oh, excuse me, I forgot. You can't read this because you're dead.

A retired couple in Oregon filled their house with carbon monoxide, killing themselves and their four Golden Retrievers after they were unable to negotiate with their mortgage lender to get out of foreclosure.

That really sucks, man. But why take the dogs with you? People are more likely to help the retrievers than people. Where have you been? Don't you read the PETA website?

Please take my advice. If you're in financial trouble, blowing your brains out is not the way to deal with it.

Homeless seems to be taking on a new meaning.... Lifeless.
