Will Ferrell as the 43rd PresidentLet me open immediately with a disclaimer: I haven't seen Will Ferrell's Broadway show, "You're Welcome America. A Final Night With George W. Bush" which opened on Thursday.
According to the NYTimes, there comes a point in the production when a huge image of a penis is projected on a screen. Of course it's not really Bush's member nor is it Ferrell's. At this point in the play, six audience members have left the theatre since the show opened.
Now I don't know if the six were together, if all of them left during one performance or if a few left in a couple of performances.
I find it hard to believe that anyone who would attend this show would be offended by a Jumbo Johnson allegedly belonging to our former president. Sounds like a stunt devised to get more people into the theatre rather than out.
