First Weatherman
What's with the hat?
I did not know that February 5th was National Weatherman's Day. It was the birthday of John Jeffries, born in 1744, who was one of this country's first weather observers.
The men and women of the National Weather Service are doing their jobs to save lives.
According to their website their primary duty is to provide information about severe weather.
Basically I suppose that means they really don't give a shit if you left the house without your umbrella because "they" said it was going to be sunny.
I don't ever remember forecasts being as far off as they've been this winter. Let's think about all the millions of dollars that are spent on weather satellites, radar, groundhogs, and whatever else they use for their predictions.
I think John Jeffries probably did a lot better with his balloons.
