The latest media uproar concerns this picture in which Miley Cyrus and friends (except the Asian guy obviously) are doing the infamous "Ching-Chang-Chinaman" pose for the camera.You might recall that at last year's Beijing Olympics, the Spanish basketball team did the same thing.
I remember quite clearly as a toddler discovering that I could give myself Asian eyes by pulling back on the corners of my eyes. At the age of two I wasn't aware I might be doing anything racist. Hell, I didn't even know what racism was.
What is more disturbing about this picture is the fact that 1) Miley is obviously tanked and 2) everyone in the picture seems to be drunk as well.
Why is a 16-year-old girl hanging out with obviously much older, intoxicated people? Isn't she supposed to be a role model for eight-year-old girls?
