The latest wailing tale comes out of Chicago. Yeah, Chicago, starts with a "C" as in corruption. Seems that there are two public schools there where teachers and coaches beat the kids.
Pass the tissues.
Treveon Martin, 10, pictured above said this about his experience with one of the teachers.
"He holded my arms and he picked my body up, and then he just slammed me on the desk."
And this:
"My back really hurted, and then at the end of the day, I had to go the hospital."
"Holded?" "Hurted?" Obviously he didn't hit him hard enough.
"He hurt my feelings," Martin said.
Well, at least he didn't hurted your feelings. We must be making progress.
Back in the 1950s and 1960s in parochial school we expected to have the crap beaten out of us by our teachers. If everyone who had been hit by a nun, brother, lay teacher brought a suit against the Church, the Archdiocese or the Diocese, the courts would still be backed up.
