In Medical Lake, Washington (inappropriately named) a elderly woman was found dead on her bedroom floor. Apparently she had fallen months ago, but her 82-year-old husband did not summon help to get her off the floor.

It seems that Pia Klein fell around Thanksgiving and her husband, Joe, found her. She told him not to help her (he claims) so he left her there. He figured she'd get up on her own. Yeah, Joe, like when? At the Rapture?

He cleaned her, fed her, gave her medicine once in a while, but didn't call 911 till she had no pulse last Monday.

Mr. Klein was arrested on a second degree manslaughter charge.

Said he to a judge on Tuesday, "I don't consider it to be my fault. She did not want help."

The couple was married for 52 years.
