If one is to believe the hype, the new Clint Eastwood movie, "Gran Torino" is fabulous and not to be missed.

Who is kidding whom?

I have to admit I only avoid small pox more than I shun Eastwood movies, but hasn't this dude been playing the same character for the last 50 years? You know, the strong, angry, anti-social man who speaks in monosyllables and is just as likely to shoot you as look at you?

The ads hype this film as showcasing "classic" Eastwood. I think that's a polite way to say "same shit, different day."
