I was just reading an article about a woman in New Brunswick, NJ whose mother had died and she had no money for the funeral expenses. She got the money from the Pentecostal Church of God in Christ. No report given on how much the funeral cost or how much she was given.
This got me thinking about how expensive funerals are and in this day and age I think there could be a real crisis with corpses piling up because families don't have the money to...uh...take care of the deceased.
Funeral homes won't be running out of customers any time soon and they sure do know how to charge. Sure you can stick Uncle Frank in a pine box but the funeral director is sure to give you a guilt trip if you opt for the economy funeral.
All this talk makes me nostalgic for "Six Feet Under." Ah! What a great show that was!
