I wasn't aware that there was an Israeli astronaut aboard the ill-fated space shuttle Columbia that blew up upon re-entry almost six years ago.
And I certainly didn't know that said astronaut, Ilan Ramon, evidently kept a diary while on board the shuttle.
Well guess what? Thirty-seven pages of his diary were discovered outside of Palestine (ooooh, what do you think it means?), Texas.
Apparently most of the pages contained very personal information that Ramon's wife did not want to make public.
Dear Diary, being up here is like sitting shivah.
Two of the pages passed muster and will be displayed at the Israeli Museum in Jerusalem starting on Sunday.
Word is that Ramon had no idea the shuttle was in trouble. At least, no evidence of that was found in the diary; however, bear in mind that they don't have all the pages.
Dear Diary, there seems to be a huge gash in the side of Columbia, but I'm not going to worry about it. I'm not going to worry about those huge chunks of styrofoam that we seem to be bleeding all over the universe. Nope. Not going to worry. Everything's fine.
